Also in free-drive mode cops always have Corvette and Charger cop cars available along with the regulars so you basically have no chance at getting away if you picked a classic to ride. Although I must point out that there are many movie and other challenges that involve you riding a classic old school charger, camaro ss, mustang fastback, etc Driver is not like Need for Speed and Burnout, in this game the cars handle realistically somewhat and places Driver in whole other category of driving games.
This game is a mix of arcade gameplay with semi-simulator driving physics and controls.
So if you can handle your virtual cars from spinning while doing awesome drifts and burnouts then this game is for you!!! So far I enjoy the game.
Started really well and the missions are fun! And there is a variety of real cars, which is something I seek in racing games. I don't like racing games, where you drive a non-existing cars :D. This game is simply amazing! I am 28 and have been playing PC games, including many driving games since I was The handling of the cars is perfect extremely easy to steer I play with the keyboard. The storyline and fun factor of this game is through the roof. The feeling of playing this game is comparable to the fun had when the original GTA came out, mixed with the awesome story This game is simply amazing!
The feeling of playing this game is comparable to the fun had when the original GTA came out, mixed with the awesome story driving missions in Interstate I would pay double for this game. Enjoy … Expand. I love this game, it is in that heavenly area between arcade racers and racing simulators, a bit closer to arcade though. This is the worst game I've played this year! It has the worst driving mechanics, stupid and short story, ridiculous side quests, no manual gearbox, it's almost impossible to drive without hitting anything in this game and I guess the developers knew that and that's why almost all missions in the game are concentrating on destroying something!
It's pain in my heart when you have to crush This is the worst game I've played this year!
macOS Virtual Reality
It's pain in my heart when you have to crush your SLR into other vehicles. I thought they would make something more realistic and serious than this "destroy-everything-in-your-way" game! This game is filled with bugs and has a black border around it. Cant even play the game because it puts a black border around the whole game making the viewing window very small on a big screen.
For anyone who enjoys gaming I would avoid this game. This game was a disappointment. Other Driver series were pretty good. You have freedom. Do what you want. The last driver had cars you can customize to the extreme. This driver you are stuck in a car, or different cars you "shift" to. You cant walk on the streets or anything.
The AI drivers are more like back to Driver 1, The cars are brand named, but are limited. Once you bet the game, This game was a disappointment. Once you bet the game, you have new cars, but the old cars you drove at the beginning are GONE! Basically just take away all freedom and put me back in Driver 1. Good side of it is the police are fun to play. Cars look good inside and out, and are detailed.
Overall, not worth paying for. It's all an illusion or some "dream" witch means it ain't real, its just some dream inside the game Same as Far Cry 3, the only difference is its called Driver: San Francisco, not "Far Cry 3" UBI really has me filled with rage at this point. It's all an illusion or some "dream" witch means it ain't real, its just some dream inside the game and then you go and destroy the boss goes same way for both FC3 and Driver … Expand. I regret having bought it, although fairly good graphics but gameplaynya very bad and boring.
Driving in this game is a joke. I can live with both simulation or arcade but this is not even sure how to name it. Cars on ice come close but its still worse in reality. Car is dancing from one side of the street to another like drunken sailor and I tried it with both, keyboard and xbox controller.
I admit story seemed decent but i bought racing game not interactive movie with broken Driving in this game is a joke. I admit story seemed decent but i bought racing game not interactive movie with broken driving events. Huh dont trust ubisoft they can ruin all good titles. This game is boring old school graphic on main way arcade with stupid story.
Parody for 80s films. I cant recomend to play this. Was not expecting much from this, But its all right driving is okish until you get the turbo witch is up on the analog stick but it can probably be changed. The selection of cars is good more then i was expecting vista cruiser Was not expecting much from this, But its all right driving is okish until you get the turbo witch is up on the analog stick but it can probably be changed.
To be honest, driving the car is great, but the mission are too crappy.. I think the first couple of Driver games were more Realistic I'm sad, the game is pretty boring As for the graphics, it's disgusting. Not worth of a PC up-to-date game. It is definately a Console crappy game, because Console are out-dated on Technology To be honest, driving the car is great, but the mission are too crappy.. It is definately a Console crappy game, because Console are out-dated on Technology Which is why it is sold less than a PC, don't try to say otherwise As for the rest The Cinematics are cool, alot of Funny stuff happening, the Music is crap.
They should input more than just one style of music in there, music in these types of games is what makes the player comfortable or not. Seriously, i am honestly sad. I preferred older Driver Titles. This one feels to Arcade to me. Good game. It have the old driver feeling. The amount of cars is huge i really liked to play with buses and trucks. What i dont like were the features like the crash action or throwing cars.
Thats really stupid. Doesnt fit in this series. The story is also a bit crazy that could be much better. I love this game so much, it's very fun and has a lot of humor. It takes two kinds of driving games to hold my interest. The first has guns. The second is more vaguely defined, but Driver: San Francisco fits the bill. It is surprisingly fun to play when compared to other driving games of late, such as the most recent Need For Speeds and Fuel. Realism is a secondary concern here. Though set in the present day, the plot, music and overall setting ooze It takes two kinds of driving games to hold my interest.
Though set in the present day, the plot, music and overall setting ooze the best elements of 's era cops-and-robbers television, and the cars have characteristics to match: roaring engines, spectacular burnouts and looooong four-wheel drifts.
The jewel in this game's crown is the "Shift" mechanic, which murders the thing I hate most about driving games- the low margin of error. Say you're trying to stop a bad guy, but drift too wide around a turn and slam into a wall or oncoming truck. In most other games, that would mean yet another mission restart.
Not here. Mindjack some unsuspecting schmuck and continue the chase in a whole new car! A pleasant surprise.go
Free software. Safe downloads.
Picked it recently and the SSS for a bargain and I really like it. Lots of cars. Not just sportscars, but also trucks of all kinds and normal city cars. Many of them drive very different, with few favorites being obvious like the 4x4 cars for example. Very easy to drive but fun. The interiors are surprisingly well done for and arcade racer. The particle effects and A pleasant surprise.

The particle effects and damage model are also exceptional funny enough, I find the smoke modelling to be the best ever in a pc game. The sounds and music are on par with the cars. Everything being built into a shallow story, but again, one that provides a lot of wild racing and side challenges that are painfully simple not always easy yet appealing.
